PROTON LITE is a simple no-electronics, no-compromise night vision system, machined entirely out of 7075-T6 Aluminum. Modular, analog, reliable; it does everything you need from a night vision system — and nothing you don’t.

The Proton Lite-O night-vision monocular from Boson Systems embodies a new generation of optical devices designed for the most demanding users. Engineered to meet the expectations of professionals and enthusiasts alike, whether experts or beginners, it delivers extreme durability, advanced ergonomics, and complete modularity, without compromise.

To break it down, the Proton Lite offers:

  • 7075-T6 Construction: Aerospace-Grade Strength and Lightness
Crafted entirely from 7075-T6 aluminum, one of the strongest alloys available, the Proton Lite delivers steel-level rigidity while remaining exceptionally lightweight, with a total weight of 270 g*. This construction ensures long-term reliability, even under the harshest conditions.

*Weight measured with Mil-Spec optics, image intensifier tube, and battery. Actual weight may vary depending on the optics and tube used.

  • Premium Finish: CNC Machining & Hard Anodizing
Every component is CNC-machined (Computer Numerical Control) for perfect precision and coated with Type III hard anodizing, providing outstanding resistance to scratches, wear, and corrosion. The result is a flawlessly finished product built to last.

  • High Reliability: Minimal Integrated Electronics
To ensure a great resistance to extreme conditions, the Proton Lite is designed with a minimum of integrated electronics. It allow the device to operate consistently regardless of temperature, humidity, or impact.

  • Weather-Resistant:
We are proud to certify that the Proton Lite-O meets IP68 standards. It has been tested for immersion in water up to 20 meters deep for 2 hours.

  • Total Modularity: Independent Pod & Detachable module
The pod is completely independent and can be removed from the module within seconds using a simple hex key. This high level of modularity enables instant switching between monocular and binocular configurations like the Proton Lite and allows you to adapt your setup to a wide range of operational scenarios. Additionally, each pod features its own autonomous airtight sealing, ensuring the purge is maintained even when the pod is disassembled.

  • A True Evolving Ecosystem
All Boson Systems products are designed to be fully inter-compatible. Bridges, accessories like the BLK Series addons, and configurations can be combined to suit your needs. This modular ecosystem provides exceptional upgradeability while significantly lowering long-term costs. If needed, you can upgrade your Proton Lite-O monocular to our Proton Lite binocular through our dedicated Proton Lite Bino Upgrade Kit.

  • Designed and Manufactured in France
Each Proton Lite-O is proudly designed, engineered, and assembled in France in our workshops with meticulous attention to detail. Every component is carefully inspected by our team to ensure optimal performance.

  • Lifetime Warranty
We offer a lifetime warranty on all products manufactured by Boson Systems, valid under normal use.

Understanding Tubes

NVT 4

This is your entry-level option for users who want reliable night-vision capability without going to the highest cost tier. The NNVT NVT 4 tube delivers a Figure-of-Merit (FOM) of ~1,400+ and an SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) of 20+ under the NNVT spec-sheet.
With white-phosphor (P45) and autogating as standard, it gives solid performance for general low-light observation and entry-level night-vision deployment.
Ideal for: cost-sensitive applications, training, backup systems, or operations in moderate low-light environments.

NVT 5

The NVT 5 tube offers an improved minimum FOM of ~1,600+ and an SNR of 25+.
It maintains the same basic format (MX10160, P45 white-phosphor, autogated) but gives better resolution, better clarity in darker scenes and improved overall low-light capability.
Ideal for: users who need stronger performance than entry-level, but still want good value, for more challenging low-light or mixed-light environments.

NVT 7

Mid-to-high performance: the NVT 7 1900+ brings the FOM up to ~1,900+ and SNR around 26+.
This gives noticeably better detail resolution and lower noise when the ambient light drops, so you’ll see more structure in deep-shadow conditions and finer contrast.
Ideal for: professional use, demanding environments, situations requiring more fidelity in low light — while still keeping cost below the very top tier.

NVT 8

Top of the NNVT line: the NVT 8 (Formerly known as the NVT7+ Aero) boasts an FOM of ~2,400+ and an SNR of 32+.
It’s the premium option in this set: maximum resolution, lowest noise, highest sensitivity. For users who demand the strongest night-vision performance and are willing to invest accordingly.
Ideal for: critical operations, low-light extremes (moonless nights, deep canopy, covert missions), users who want the absolute best in this family.
