Proton Optical Pod

The Proton Optical Pod is the heart of the Proton night-vision platform. Each pod is a fully independent optical module, designed to host a small-format ANVIS / MX10160 image intensifier. Built from aerospace-grade aluminum and sealed to withstand harsh environments, it provides a rugged, modular foundation for both monocular and binocular configurations.

Modular by Design

  • Use a single pod as a compact monocular, or combine two pods on a Proton Lite bridge to build a full binocular system.
  • Each pod is mechanically independent, making upgrades, replacements, and configuration changes simple and fast.
  • Designed for users who want a long-term platform they can adapt to their needs over time.

Individually Sealed & Purged

  • Each optical pod can be individually sealed and nitrogen-purged.
  • The atmosphere inside the pod remains isolated from the rest of the system.
  • Any disassembly on the bridge or accessories does not compromise the integrity of the optical module.

Rugged Construction

  • Aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum housing.
  • Type III hard anodized finish for maximum wear and corrosion resistance.
  • Submersible construction designed for demanding field conditions.

Optical Performance
